Character name: Snakestar
Age: 65 moons (roughly 5 1/2 years)
Gender: Male
Clan: WindClan
Rank: Leader
Appearance (200 words min.):
Snakestar is a middle-aged tom, still vibrant with strength and energy with experience marking his pelt in the form of scars. He is a golden tabby tom, given the name "snake" for his longer upper fangs. He is a big tom, and foreboding to opponents, while retaining the lithe WindClan body. His fur is striped, before settling out into a ringed tail, like a raccoon. Snakestar is a testament to the clashes with WindClan's neighbors, he has a long scar along his flank, and a scar where skin had been ripped off of his haunches. Many more lay beneath his fur. Snakestar's eyes are a beautiful shade of sea-green, or mint. Often fluxuating in the different lights. His nose is a dark red, and compliments his golden brown fur. He has a white lower jaw, and chest, spreading towards his under belly. Snakestar's tail is long, like most WindClan cats, and stretches nearly as long as his own body. His muscle are lean, and well-developed, supporting the need to hunt rabbits in WindClan. Snakestar's long legs give him an excellent boost in the mad dash to catch the swift prey. He keeps himself well-groomed, and his claws sharp, to ensure his ability to serve his clan.
Personality (250 words min.):
Snakestar is like a river delta, his greatest attributes flow from a huge river, and branch out to flow into what defines him. Of those greatest traits, are loyalty and courage, the same virtues he was awarded in his warrior ceremony. He never gives up, and is at the head of his clan in every endeavor, believing that unless he can lead the clan into battle, he shouldn't be leading them at all. Snakestar is incredibly loyal to the warrior code, and will sniff out a traitor faster than you can say, "mouse." He keeps his clan in line, but tries to let them feel open to speak their mind, often failing due to his disciplinary rule. Snakestar's bad traits would include viscious determination, and pride. He's lost cats due to both traits, and hates himself for it. He is a gruff tom, and there's yet to be a she-cat to help him embrace his sentimental side, or a she-cat willing to handle that gruff side for that matter. However, who can will probably never find a more loyal and honest mate. Snakestar is one of the more sneaky cats, and made WindClan untrustworthy because of their "mischief." He's broken ties with ThunderClan long ago, and holds them independent, unwilling to seem weak. Snakestar doesn't appreciate help, even in hard times, and has evn gone as far as stealing territory from their neighbors when leaf-bare became difficult. He is a strong leader in his clan, and does not support needless blood-shed, but his definition of need always changes, especially in drastic times.
History (250 words min.):
Snakestar is half-clan, half WindClan, and half ShadowClan. His mother was a WindClan cat by the name of Sundapple, and his father, a tom named Smokefur. Sundapple had confided in one of the queens(Shallowcreek) about her kits' origins, and she destroyed the trust they'd held by blabbing about it. The clan was soon disgusted, and often treated Sundapple poorly as she struggled to raise three kits, Snakekit, Darkkit, and Eaglekit. During leaf-bare, Darkkit had died, leaving Snakekit with just his brother, Eaglekit. Before long, the two had become apprentices, and despite their mentors' disdain, they made the most of their training. Snakepaw and Eaglepaw were not just brothers; they were best friends, and inseparable. That is until one fateful day when they went on a border patrol. They'd been traveling along the WindClan border when a hunting patrol crossed over, chasing a rabbit. A fight erupted, and left Eaglepaw dead. Snakepw hated WindClan ever since, carrying it on to his warriorhood as Snakefang. He turned his nose up at ThunderClan cats at gatherings, and kept to speaking with RiverClan, whom fascinated him with their hunting techniques. Before long, a new leader had been made in WindClan when Yellowstar died, leaving Barkclaw, now Barkstar, leader. Snakefang, whom was currently mentoring Dawnpaw, was made deputy where he served loyally. Barkstar was leader for 16 moons before he died from an infection. Snakefang took his place and became Snakestar. Since he became leader he's fought two major battles with with ThunderClan over territory(he lost one), and one with ShadowClan, which added a major piece of territory to WindClan. He's exiled 2 cats for treachery, and has had 2 deputies die. There is often debate among other clans about his quality as a leader, but his clan supports him. Today, he is an imposing figure, and the first under suspicion whenever something seems to have gone wrong.
